I made this bar with one goal in mind: something simple enough to trust, gentle enough for every day, and honest enough that I could tell you exactly what went into it. This is a conditioning, oat-softened bar built on grass-fed tallow, a fat that's remarkably close in structure to what our own skin naturally produces, which is a big part of why it feels so gentle rather than drying.

Tallow gives this bar its long-lasting hardness and stable, creamy lather. Olive oil brings mildness, coconut oil adds cleansing and bubbles, and castor oil rounds out the lather so it feels rich rather than thin. Finely ground oatmeal folds in for a soft, soothing feel against the skin, and carrot juice replaces the water in this recipe, giving the bar its warm golden color naturally, with nothing artificial added for the sake of appearance.

This bar is left unscented, so there's no fragrance layered over the ingredients, just soap the way I believe it should be.
